Origami Update Saturday, March 4, 2006

Here are the latest updates about Origami:

  • origami will indeed be a Mobile PC running Windows XP
  • origami will run XP Tablet PC Edition.
  • will be unveiled at the Cebit technology fair that takes place in Hanover, Germany from 9-15 March.
  • will use Intel chips
  • the actual device will look more like the basic black box that Microsoft showed off at WinHEC last year (pictured above)
  • Intel is scheduled to unveil more details on 7 March at its Developer Forum in San Francisco.
  • expected to cost less than $1,000

Less than 1k for a spiffy tablet PC–sounds exactly like the sort of device my dad would buy.
